Wax & Wane Herbals is a midwest based Herbalism company created by plant whisperer Bailey Hillis.
Her goal is to reconnect people through plant magic and eduction. Wax and Wane Herbals is rooted in the philosophy that medicine can be found everywhere, even underneath the train tracks in the heart of Chicago or alongside the sidewalk in downtown Indianapolis.

LOGO DESIGN
WAX & WANE HERBALS logo was hand drawn by illustrator and tattoo artist Aaron Unser.
The logo is an abstracted yin-yang womb depicting Bailey's rescued cat and dog. Floating inside an Ouroboros, the logo represents the focus on the eternal unity of all things as well as the cycle of birth and death.

This site was meticulously crafted using a digital collage technique.
ART DIRECTION
We wanted to find a new creative way to capture herbalism products without feeling like we needed to lean into the classic "hippie" vibe. We wanted to create a sense of scenery. Wax and Wane creator Bailey, was drawn to the visuals of 1960s horror and witchcraft. We developed the ultimate spooky smokey smudgy aesthetic.
